The Austin Game Conference has opened voting on its “People’s Choice” sessions. You can vote here. (Login required.)
My session is called Flogging: Data collection on the high seas, and is all about how we’re collecting metric data for PotBS, and I need your vote! Even sessions that they have already listed as accepted (like Jess Lebow’s talk on stepchildren) are on the list, so I don’t know if they’re actually going to obey the votes, or just use them as a filter. AGC has been confused this year in general. It will be interesting to see if this helps to improve the quality of the lectures or if it’s just a PR stunt to get suckers like me to spread the word about the conference. The login creation step seems to be about avoiding botting and doesn’t require that you’ve actually registered for the conference.

Hey, at least your talk got that far. I’ve never gotten a talk approved at the GDC. And now, CMP buys the Austin conference and despite me being a popular speaker at the conference in the past, my talk doesn’t get approved. Imagine that!
Not that I’m bitter.

Wow, they didn’t even put yours in People’s Choice? AGC is incredibly disorganized this year… I wonder if that’s got something do to with it.
